1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the site.

2. Use of Website

This website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, therapeutic, or professional advice. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the content is accurate, we do not guarantee its completeness, timeliness or reliability. You agree to use this website lawfully and not to: violate any local, state, national or international law; disrupt, damage or compromise the functionality or security of the website; reproduce, distribute or exploit any part of the site without written permission.

3. Services and Bookings

The Grove Counselling & Therapy provides psychological and therapeutic services. Booking a session—whether by phone, email, or online—does not by itself create a client-therapist relationship. That relationship begins only after a formal intake and mutual agreement between you and a practitioner. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where it is ethically or professionally necessary.

4. Fees and Payments

Fees for counselling sessions are clearly communicated prior to booking. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in advance. We accept major payment methods, including EFTPOS, bank transfer, and online payment through our booking system. Missed appointments and late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) may incur the full session fee.

5. Cancellation Policy

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session may incur a charge of 50% of the session fee. Non-attendance without notice may result in the full fee being charged. We understand that emergencies can occur and will consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

6. Confidentiality and Ethical Practice

All therapeutic services are conducted in accordance with professional ethical codes and relevant privacy legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable. Information disclosed in sessions is confidential unless: required by law (e.g. subpoena or court order); there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person; there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable individual.

7. Telehealth and Online Sessions

We offer secure video and telephone counselling sessions. While we take all reasonable steps to protect your privacy, we cannot guarantee full security over the internet. By participating in telehealth, you agree to: conduct sessions in a private and quiet space; ensure your device and internet connection are secure.
